Kevin Lee King, 50, of Columbia, died Friday, February 15, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Kevin was born in Columbia on January 28, 1963 to the late Edwin Parnell King and Lora Redding King. He was a 1981 graduate of Lower Richland High School and worked at Gillespie Cleaners on Trenholm Road for many years. Kevin was reared in the Horrell Hill community and was a member of Horrell Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his brother, Edwin R. King of Columbia; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol K. and Benny Hicks of Horrell Hill; as well as a niece and nephew, Kristin and Justin Hicks.

The funeral service for Mr. King will be held 12 o'clock, Monday, February 18, in Horrell Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11 o'clock. Memorials may be made to Horrell Hill Baptist Church, 920 Horrell Hill Road, Hopkins, SC 29061.
