With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lance Edison Woodley, 69, of Columbia, SC, who left us on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Born on February 2, 1955, in Augusta, GA, he was the beloved son of Ora Sawyer Woodley and the late Carol Edison Woodley.
He was a longtime member of Long Creek Church of Christ. He graduated from the Darla Moore School of Business at USC with a degree in accounting. He was a talented artist and attended one year at art school before transferring to USC. He owned his own real estate business for over 20 years. He loved all aspects of his work and loved being a mentor for new agents who were getting started in their careers. He was always looking for new listings and opportunities to grow his business. He had a love for sales and business. He began at the age of 7, saving his Halloween candy to sell back to his siblings when theirs ran out. For years, he was known as "The Nicest Guy in Town" due to his popular advertising for his business. He was passionate about his business and family. He enjoyed painting, dancing, hiking, traveling, and going to the beach.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Woodley; children, Summer Rice (Michael) and Amanda Nunez (Andrew); grandchildren, Isabella Rice, Colton Rice, Dexton Nunez, and Rowan Nunez; mother, Ora Sawyer Woodley; siblings, Rance Woodley (Janice), Rick Woodley (Liz), and Conja Larck (Kelly); as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Long Creek Church of Christ.
