Obituary
Mr. Laneau "Lou" Pippen, 85, of Columbia, died on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Born in Hobgood, North Carolina, Lou was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Juanita Welton Pippen. He enjoyed a career as a Chemical Engineer with Mogul Corporation.
Lou is survived by his three daughters, Brooke Compton (Chris), Susan Rhyne (Danny) and Blynn Pippen; three grandchildren, Rider Compton, Rainer Compton and Caroline Rhyne.
The family will honor Lou's wishes to have his ashes scattered over the Virginia mountains.
Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
