Larry Lee Fink, 76, of Columbia, died on Monday, September 30, 2024. Born in Montgomery, AL, on August 2, 1948, he was a son of the late Victor Cleo and Francis Senn Fink. Mr. Fink began his career in insulation and later became a Master Electrician. With his father, he started Fink Contracting which led to many years as a General Contractor in all categories. He served on the LLR Board and assisted in designing current codes that are still used in present times. In the rare occasion that he was not working, he enjoyed going to the beach, classic Sci-Fi shows and movies. Most important to him was his love and devotion to his family, particularly his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Margie "Jeanette" Belk Fink; children, Michael Lee Fink (Christy), Bryan Bradley Fink (Elizabeth), and Michelle Fink Harris (Kevin); grandchildren, Blake Justice (Haley), Grace Justice (Alexander), Isabella Fink, Hudson Fink and Blakely Fink; great-grandson, Elijah Justice; and his entire Belk family of in-law's.
The graveside service for Mr. Fink will be held at 11 o'clock, Thursday, October 3rd, at Memorial Gardens of Columbia, 9301 Wilson Blvd, Columbia, with Rev. Joe Copeland officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Wednesday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
