Mr. Larry Karl Fulmer, 78, passed away on March 6, 2025 after a long illness with kidney and heart disease. Born on August 31,1946, in Columbia SC, he was a son of the late Pearl Able Fulmer and Karl Louis Fulmer.

Larry was in the first graduating class of Airport High School in 1964. He went on to spend the next two years at the University of Georgia majoring in Horticulture. He returned to Columbia and started a career in the floral industry. He spent 56 years as a floral designer before retiring in 2022 from Deloache Flowers in Columbia. His wife taught him cake decorating so he made many cakes for weddings and other events. He touched many people with his creativity and designs over his long career.

Larry loved cooking and baking. He would share his baked goods with family and friends. All loved his cheese crackers and Amish cookies! He loved animals, especially his cherished chihuahua, Poppy. Poppy was his constant companion until his death. He was a longtime member of St. David's Episcopal Church in Columbia. He more recently attended Trinity Episcopal due to its convenience after moving to Columbia from Elgin.

He is survived by his brother, Craig Fulmer of Columbia SC; niece, Karlynn Fulmer of Glenwood Springs,CO; nephew, Harrison Fulmer of Lexington.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Hume Laub Fulmer. He is also survived by many members of his wife's family. He built many long relationships with Hume's family and they continued to support him after his wife's death.
