Elgin – Lawrence Frederick Gollach, 76, of Elgin, died Friday, January 16, 2015. Born in Lansing, MI on January 5, 1939, he was a son of the late Reva Hunt Gollach. A retired veteran of the US Army, he served in Korea and Vietnam. Lawrence was a dog lover; and, he loved the Atlanta Braves and bowling.
Survivors include his sons, Terry (Cyndy) Gollach, Jim (Tamara) Gollach, and Mike Gollach; a daughter, Patricia (Roy) Crout; grandchildren, Marc and Dusty Crout, Aaron, Evan, Matthew and Lindsey Gollach; and great grandchildren, Angel and Taylor Crout, Mahala DeHart, Kyleigh, Haydyne, Kaydynce, Marly, Blain, Landyn, and Cash Crout, Anya and Esme Gollach. He was preceded in death by his wife, Monique and six brothers.
A graveside service for Mr. Gollach will be held 12 o'clock, Wednesday, January 21st, at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, with The Rev. Nancy Brazell officiating. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society, 121 Humane Ln, Columbia, SC 29209; or to the charity of one's choice.
