Leisha Jones Shealy, 51, of Ballentine, died unexpectedly, Monday, November 20, 2017. Born February 24, 1966 in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Furman Lewis Jones and Helen Nicholson Jones. Leisha was a dedicated member of Bethel Lutheran Church in White Rock, where she taught Sunday school and served on various committees. She was also a member of Chapin Irmo ABATE and Al-Anon at Chapin United Methodist Church. Leisha was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and an avid Clemson fan.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Walter Wesley "Wes" Shealy, Jr.; children, Raven Nichole Shealy (John Matthew Hashash, Sr), Walter W. "Tripp" Shealy, III (Sutton); grandchildren, John Matthew Hashash, Jr., Walter Wesley Shealy, IV, Harland Fleetwood Shealy and Killian Hayes Shealy; brothers, Elbert Jones (Ruth), Lewis Jones (Vivian), Larry Jones (Iris), Terry Jones (Carol), Bobby Jones (Gwen) and David Jones (Cindy); as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Jones.
A service will be held 3 o'clock, Sunday, November 26th, at Bethel Lutheran Church, with The Rev. Roy Butler officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, General Fund, 2801 Dutch Fork Road, White Rock, SC 29177. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is assisting the family.
