Leo Arthur Dryer, Jr., 73, of Cayce, died Sunday, September 13, 2015. Born in Hamburg, NY, on May 19, 1942, he was a son of the late Leo Arthur Dryer, Sr. and Pauline Sullivan Dryer. Mr. Dryer received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his JD degree from the University of South Carolina, School of Law. Leo practiced law as the owner of the Dryer Law Offices in Columbia, was a member of the Commercial Law League of America, Brookland United Methodist Church, and served on the City of Cayce Zoning Board.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Belcher Dryer; children, David (Gretchen) Muller, Mark (Lisa) Muller, Shawn (Denise) Muller; grandchildren, Michelle (Wayne) Hopper, Andrew Muller, Jessica (Scott) Kincaid, Ambree, Chase, Christian, Payton and J. Michael Muller; five great grandchildren; as well as his nephew, Shawn Dryer; and great nephews and nieces, Victor, Mary-Katherine, Clare and Sean-Patrick Dryer. In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Francis Dryer.
A memorial service for Mr. Dryer will be held 2 o'clock, Thursday, September 17th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Rd Ext, Columbia, with The Rev. J. Wayne Smith, Jr. and Rev. Fran Connell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock, Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
