LeRoy "Pee Wee" Wilson, 80, of North, died on Sunday, August 26, 2012. Born in Columbia, SC, on February 7, 1932, he was a son of the late Frank Wilson, Sr., and Laura Campbell Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Delores "Connie" C. Wilson; daughters, Brenda Whittle (Bobby), of West Columbia, Mary Jo Marthers (Charles) of Elgin, Jennifer Wilson of Columbia; sons, Wendell Wilson of Columbia, Michael Wilson (Laura), and Jason Wilson, of Charleston; brothers, Frank Wilson, Jr., Robert Wilson, Lonnie Wilson, and J.H. Wilson, all of Elgin; sisters, Evelyn Carter of Blythewood, Vera Tubbs, and Nealer Dinkins of Columbia; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin Wilson and James Wilson.

A funeral service for Mr. Wilson will be held on Thursday, August 30th, at 11 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr., Columbia, with The Rev. Nancy Brazell officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:30 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. The family wishes to offer special thanks to Dr. Robert Smith, the staff of South Carolina Oncology, the nurses of United Hospice, and LeRoy's sister and caregiver, Nealer Dinkins for their love, care and support.
