Lila Mitchell Shealy, 90, of Elm City, NC, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert Eugene Mitchell and Effie Delilah Bedford Mitchell. Lila was a member of Aenon Missionary Baptist Church.

A Home Going service will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday, October 6th, at Aenon Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:30 prior to the service.

A graveside service will be held 10 o'clock, Saturday, October 20th at Old Lexington Baptist Church Cemetery, 800 Old Lexington Road, Leesville, SC.

In addition to her parents, Lila was preceded in death by her brother, James Wilbert Mitchell; sisters, Patricia Mitchell Gower, and Mary Ann Poythress; grandson, Justin Bandy.

Survivors include her son, Paul Shealy (Cheryl) of Columbia, SC; daughters, Nicole Shealy Keeling (Tim) of Roanoke, VA; Kay Price of Elm City, NC; and Susan Pittman (Bud) of Elm City, NC; sisters, Joyce Adams, Margaret Dochterman, and Evelyn Mitchell; brother, Leonard Earl Mitchell; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
