Lilla Stevens Dodson, 89, of Chapin, died on Friday, October 8, 2021. Born in Leesville, SC, on March 17, 1932, she was a daughter of the late William McKinley Stevens and Lily Belle Langford Stevens.

A member of Chapin United Methodist Church, she is survived by her son, Thomas H. Dodson, Jr. (Laurie); grandchildren, Katherine Dodson Camp, Thomas Blake Dodson (Lauren), Justin Dodson (Elizabeth); great grandchildren, Layla and Lorelei Camp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Herman Dodson, Sr.; sister, Mary Stevens Clark; and brother, Robert Stevens.

A memorial service will be held 1:30 o'clock, Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Chapin United Methodist Church with The Rev Jody Flowers officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family. All are invited to attend; however, masks are strongly encouraged, and social distancing will be observed to maintain a safe environment for all.
