Lillian Ophelia Cross "Kitty" Hill, 86, died Thursday, August 20, 2015. Born in Chesterfield County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Louise McLaurin Cross. A member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Mrs. Hill was known as a kindhearted mother and grandmother; always a cheerful and optimistic Christian lady.

She is survived by her sons, Terry (Debra) Hill of Blythewood and William (Ruth) Hill of Columbia; step-son, John (Carolyn) Hill of Lexington; step-daughters, Debbie Riley and Sandra Saxton of Lexington, and Betty Welch of Cayce; grandchildren, Kelly, Austin, and Amanda Hill all of Blythewood and William Craig (Kayla) Hill of Groton, CT, Avery Barrett of Columbia and Ralph (Holly) Hill III, of Irmo; great-grandchildren, Schyler Draven Hill and Fayln Shaughnessy of Groton, CT, and Bryce and Brady Hill of Irmo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Oscar Hill and step-son, Ralph Owen Hill.

A graveside service for Mrs. Hill will be held 3 o'clock, Tuesday, August 25th, at Elmwood Cemetery with The Rev. R. Joseph Copeland officiating. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, South Carolina Division, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
