Lillian Audrey Williams Watson, 97, of Columbia, went home to her Lord on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 14, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Watson Williams and Mary Page Williams.

Lillian was a graduate of Walterboro High School and later graduated from Columbia College where she received her bachelor's degree. She enjoyed yardwork, reading, sewing, cooking and was famous for her Stripe Cake. With a true servant's heart, her family was everything to her and she especially loved her sweetheart, Congressman Albert William Watson. Every Saturday was a delight for her to have the fellowship with her family for "Hot Dogs at Grandma's". She and Albert shared a strong marriage of devotion and support to each other from 1948 until his death in 1994. She was an active member of Park Street Baptist Church for over 70 years, regularly serving behind the scenes wherever needed.

Survivors include her children, Laura Lynne Watson Davis (Ashby), Albert "Billy" William Watson, Jr. (Kathleen), and Clark Page Watson (Kim); as well as many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great greatgrandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Watson Williams, Jr., Albert W. "Tinker" Williams, and Betty Perry.

The memorial service for Mrs. Watson will be held at 2 o'clock on Saturday, November 18th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock at the funeral home. A private burial preceded the memorial service in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens.
