Obituary

Lillie Mae Millsaps, 98, of Columbia, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022. Born in Newberry, South Carolina, on September 19, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Howell Tyson Campbell and Lillie Mann Campbell.

Lillie attended Wardlaw High School and went on to pursue a career working for the SC State Procurement Office. She had a love for going to church and reading her bible. In her free time, Lillie enjoyed puzzles, word searches, and shopping. She was kind-hearted, loving soul who took care of everyone. Lillie was laid-back and very nurturing towards others. She is loved and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her children, Charles "Chuck" Millsaps (Bernice), Rita Faye Jarrell (Howard), Claude David Millsaps (Maria), and Mechele "Shelley" Davis; grandchildren, Brian, Brent, Glen, Jenny, Lori, Melissa, Paula, Thomas; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Allie, Dalton, Addy, Sarah Grace, Hayes, Tucker, Beckett; and niece, Marilyn Wilkes (Cliff); In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Glenn Allen Millsaps (Kitty); son-in-law, Donald "Don" Davis; and sister, Grace Hughes.

The family would like to give a special thanks to wonderful staff at White Oak Manor of Newberry for the love and care shown toward Lillie during these hard times.

The funeral service for Ms. Millsaps will be held at 2 o'clock on Friday, December 30th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock. Burial to follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC.
