Linda Charlotte Hodgson, 69, of Columbia, died Monday, August 20, 2018. Born on June 21, 1949, in Washington DC, she is the daughter of Charlotte Teresa Holtmann Burrows and the late Raymond Robert Burrows. Linda graduated from Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, Maryland. She worked at Intertek Data, Control Data Corporation, Policy Management Systems Corporation, and for the past 23 years was the Executive Assistant to Larry Wilson, Founder of PMSC and several private equity and venture capital backed technology companies.
Linda enjoyed gardening, horseback riding, walking, reading, and spending time with her family. After frequent long walks with her sister, Donna, she would often sit in her favorite chair reading with her beloved poodle, Hannah, on her lap. Edisto Beach was her favorite place to relax with her loving husband, John, and she was an avid collector of shark's teeth. She had an artistic flair and along with help from her mother, Charlotte, her homes and yards both in Columbia and Edisto reflected her talents. One of Linda's greatest joys was spending time with her son, Brian, and granddaughter, Emily.
Linda was a courageous participant in one of the first clinical trials of an immunotherapy cancer drug at Duke University and was hopeful that information obtained from the study would help others live a longer life.
Surviving, in addition to her mother of Columbia, is her husband, John Henry Hodgson; son, Brian Raymond Hodgson of Columbia; granddaughter, Emily Grace Hodgson of Orangeburg; sister, Donna Rae Burrows of Columbia; as well as her brothers in law, Patrick J.
