Linda "Gail" Pritchard Matthews, 71, of Columbia, died Monday, April 18, 2016. Born March 1, 1945 in Mill Springs, NC, she was a daughter of the late John and Emily Miles Pritchard. She was a member of Earlewood Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her husband, Barney Matthews; children, Ray Matthews of Elgin, Sherry Matthews Plaster of Cayce, Robbie (Coretina) Matthews of Columbia; sister, Shirley Fox of Shelby, NC; brother, Jim Pritchard of GA; and six grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she as preceded in death by sister, Dallas Garner; brother, John Pritchard; and her son-in-law, Tom Plaster.

A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Thursday, April 21st at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, with The Rev. Dr. Mark Bredholt officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens of Columbia. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock, Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
