Lisa Shan Rogers, 47, of Irmo, died Monday, October 20, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Charleston on May 6, 1967, she was a daughter of Morris Steven Rogers, Sr. and Brenda Newman Rogers. Lisa was a graduate of Columbia High School in Columbia, SC. She worked for many years as a certified paralegal with a prestigious law firm in the South Florida area, as an instructor she developed many professional friendships over the years.
She attended the St. Andrews Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and had a strong belief in God's Kingdom and was always ready to tell others about it and the paradise earth to come. She loved her family and thought more of others than herself. She graduated with a culinary and business degree and had a passion for baking cakes and pastries. She loved the challenge of solving jigsaw puzzles and she drew our family closer together as we assisted her on many occasions.
In addition to her parents, Lisa is survived by her brothers, Christopher (Candice) Rogers of Irmo, Steven (Sara) Rogers of Columbia; sister, Misty Rogers of Columbia; nephews, Nathan, Ethan and Seth; niece, Carine; as well as many aunts, uncle and cousins.
A service will be held at 3 o'clock, Tuesday, October 28th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 7445 Broad River Road, Irmo, SC with Mr. Karl A. Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
