Mrs. Liubov Karpova's Obituary
Mrs. Liubov Karpova, 63, of Lexington, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones.
Luiba was born in Russia on March 1, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Myhail and Anna Avramenko. She was a graduate of Sumy Pedagogical University in Ukraine which afterwards she taught High School Physics and Mathematics for 20 years until her retirement. Afterwards she owned her own clothing boutique until she moved to the United States to live with her daughter in Lexington, SC.
She is survived by her brother Sergey Avramenko; daughter Sofiya Ochocki; granddaughter's Tania and Julie; step-grandchildren Ryan, Kelly and Trevor.
A funeral will be held 2 o'clock, Friday, October 2nd at First Presbyterian Church, Smith Chapel, 1422 Washington Street, Columbia with The Rev. David H. Lauten officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock in the Atrium of Jackson Hall. Burial will be held in Belopolie, Sunny Region, Ukraine. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
