Lloyd E. Roberts, 78, of Columbia, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Born in Camden on November 18, 1935 he was a son of the late Ernest Lee Roberts and Pearl Pace Roberts. Lloyd retired from the US Air Force after 24 years of service. He would go on to graduate from the University of South Carolina in 1984 with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Following graduation he started his second career at the SC Department of Corrections and retired a second time after 21 years.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Foley Roberts; daughters, Deborah Huber of Arkansas, Susan Duggins and fiancé, Raymond Kotleski, of Augusta, GA, Michelle Roberts and fiancé, Donald Hines, of Columbia, Theresa (James) Graham of Columbia; grandchildren, Brian Wheeling, Cora Franklin, Brittany Stori, Matthew Graham, Cameron Graham, Ciera Huber, and Ashley Huber; great-grandchildren, Makaylin, Zackary, Ashlynn, and Ezra. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Roberts.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Saturday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. A private entombment will follow at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, SC Division, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
