Lois Dowey Geiger of Columbia passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on June 4, 2025, at the age of 95. Lois was an amazing woman of God. She never doubted where she was going after her life on earth was complete. Establishing a deep love for Jesus and family were lessons she instilled to all that were blessed enough to know her.

Lois enjoyed being the owner of Forget-Me-Not Florist and Serendipity Gifts for over 50 years.

She is preceded in death by Norman Everett Geiger of Blythewood, parents J. Dealous Dowey and Eunice Stockman Dowey of Columbia, sisters Naomi Coutsos of Columbia, Jeanette Arant of Columbia, and Eula Rollins of Greenback, TN and her brother, Kenneth Dowey (Vivian) of North, SC. Mrs. Geiger is survived by her sister, Connie Zink (Millard) of Columbia, her three daughters, Norma Lynn Geiger of Columbia, Donna Geiger Bell (Michael) of Houston, TX and Valerie Geiger Lumpkin (Greg) of Columbia; four grandchildren, Aaron "Ren" William Rentz IV of Columbia, Abby Loner (Joe) of Frisco, TX, Katy Montes (James) of Greer, SC and Haley Lumpkin (Kendall) of Cheraw, SC; three great grandchildren, William "Will" Loner and Ella Loner of Frisco, TX and Noah Snapp of Columbia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock on Monday, June 9th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia, SC. The burial will be held privately.

The family will receive guests at the funeral home beginning at 1:30.
