Services for Mrs. Lois Mildred "Micki" Manley Smith will be held at 11 o'clock, Thursday, June 20, 2024, at First Presbyterian Church, 1324 Marion Street, Columbia, SC, with the Rev. Dr. David H. Lauten officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in Jackson Hall of the Church. A private burial will precede the service in the Churchyard of First Presbyterian Church.

Micki was the widow of James Thomas Smith, to whom she was married for 60 years and 4 months.

She was born in Clinton, SC, and was a daughter of Lula Jeanette Hill Manley Holland, J.R. Manley and E. L. Holland.

She worked with her husband for years in the family business and after a retirement period, she accepted a position with the Department of Health and Environmental Control, retiring again after 17 years at the age of 80.

Micki was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church in Columbia. It was there that she served in many capacities including Sunday School and Bible School teacher, working with the youth, assisting in the nursery as well as choir mother to the junior choir.

She was a lifetime lover of animals and took in many to give them her love and care throughout her life.

Micki is survived by her son, Ronald Holland Smith; grandson, Trenton Blair Smith and his wife, Paige Courtney Smith; a great-granddaughter, Ryker Holland Smith; a great-grandson, Sullivan Thomas Smith; nephew, Dana Quattlebaum and his wife, Jill Quattlebaum; as well as two great nephews, Justin and Corey.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Michael Smith; and her parents.
