A graveside service for Lola Yvonne Hoover, 87, will be held 11 o'clock Monday, June 1, 2015 at the Antioch Baptist Church at 1477 W. E. Jeffcoat Road, Gaston. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, SC Division, 128 Stonemark Ln., Columbia, SC.

Miss Hoover died Thursday, May 28, 2015 and is now rejoicing in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born in Swansea, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Stanley Hoover and Rose Ella Brown Hoover and was the 13th child born into the Hoover family. Miss Hoover is predeceased by all of her 12 siblings including her twin sister, Von Eva Jenkins, who died on January 19, 2006.

She served as a strong example of contentment and will long be remembered for her constant faith and abiding love for her Lord. We are all richer for having known her!

Growing up in Winnsboro, Miss Hoover was an active member of Stephen Greene Baptist Church and attended Forest Lake Presbyterian prior to her stroke in 2010. She was a dedicated employee of BellSouth/ATT with 38 years of service.

Survivors include her nephew, Robert Stanley Jenkins and wife Vickie of Columbia; several nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express special thanks to Dorothy Dixon and her staff at National Healthcare, Parklane for their excellent care of Miss Hoover.
