Obituary

Ms. Lorena "Rena" Moffatt Taylor, 88, of Columbia, died Friday, November 1, 2013. Born on February 28, 1925, in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late John Guignard and Annie Mae Harbort Taylor. A longtime member of Eau Claire Baptist Church, Ms. Taylor greatly enjoyed the fellowship she shared with the XYZ Club. Ms. Taylor retired from the Veterans Administration after many years of service. A spirited personality, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her nephews, John Hildebrand, and Gregg (Becky) Hildebrand; niece, Sarah McMillen; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ethel G. Taylor, Carolin T. Roddey, Laura Mae Taylor Hornsby, and Nina Taylor Hildebrand.

A graveside service for Ms. Taylor will be held, 3 o'clock, Sunday, November 3rd, at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, Beulah Baptist Church Road, Hopkins, SC, with The Rev. James A. Goudelock officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the Carolina Children's Home, 3201 Trenholm Rd, Columbia, SC 29204.
