Lorraine Frick Boltin, 86, of Columbia, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Born in Richland County, SC on August 3, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Ernest J. Frick and Josephine Harmon Frick.

She is survived by her children, Watson E. Boltin (Terri) of Irmo, Nancy Kuehne (Loren) of Ecuador; granddaughter, Ashley Boltin of Irmo; and sister, Betty Nelson of Columbia. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boltin was preceded in death by her husband, Aerial W. Boltin; and her grandson, Jake Boltin.

Lorraine was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Lorraine was a life-long member of St. John United Methodist Church. She was Sunday School Teacher, member and past president of United Methodist Women, an active member of the Missionary Society, as well as, a long-time member of the church choir. She began her professional career as a Ward Clerk at the Baptist Hospital and soon after went to work for Dr. Charles Crews. As Dr. Crews retired, Lorraine went to work for Consultants in Oncology with Dr. Tripp Jones and upon her own retirement was working for Dr. Steve Madden at Lexington Oncology. Lorraine loved to bake and crochet. She made many afghans, hats, and scarves for missions overseas, as well as the homeless here in the Columbia area. She was best known for baking her seven-layer chocolate cakes, which were loved by all.

The service for Mrs. Boltin will be held at 2 o'clock, Sunday, March 25th at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC with Rev. Rudy Barnes, Jr. and Rev. Dr. Derald H. Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the services beginning at 1 o'clock.
