Lorraine soon met the love of her life, Paul E. Elliott, while visiting Cherry Point, NC with her cousin and she and Paul wed in June 1954. Paul was in the Marines and later the Air Force and Lorraine accepted the rigors of a military spouse. She loved to travel and during their years in the military she lived in Turkey, Holland, and a variety of locations in the United States before finally settling in Columbia, SC. Until her failing health interfered, she loved to cook and create recipes for family dinners and celebrations. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, sisters Bernice "Bernie" Olbert and Antoinette "Pam" Wojnar, and brother Zigmond "Ziggie" Olbert. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Paul, her daughter Robin Elliott-Jones (Timothy Lee), sons Gary Elliott (Mary Lou) and Kevin Elliott (Patti) and her beloved grandchildren Regan Jones and Austin Jones and her niece Colleen Olbert. Lorraine leaves behind a brokenhearted group of relatives including nieces, nephews and cousins within her husband's family.
Lorraine was a strong and independent woman whose greatest joys and accomplishments were the love of her husband and the gift of being a mother to her three children and grandmother "Nana" to grandchildren, Regan and Austin.
