Lotten John Loupe, 91, of Friendswood, TX, and formerly of Blythewood, died Saturday, July 27, 2013. Born June 16, 1922 in Gonzales, LA, he was the son of the late Sidney and Elodie Arceneaux Loupe. Lotten was a longtime member of Sandy Level Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Following his retirement from the Shakespeare Company, he moved to Friendswood, TX to be near his family, all of whom will miss him greatly.

Survivors include his son, Alvin Loupe (Linda); grandchildren, A.J. Loupe, Michelle Hebert (James), and Nikki Loupe; and great-grandchildren, Aaron, Jeremy, Tre', Paisley, and Lacey. In addition to his parents, Lotten was preceded in death by his wife, Alice P. Loupe; brothers, Percy, Alton, Sitman, and Fernell Loupe; and sisters, Loney Effler, Yvonne Kraemer, and Nita Loupe.

The funeral service for Mr. Loupe will be held 2 o'clock, Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Sandy Level Baptist Church, 408 Blythewood Road, Blythewood, SC, with The Rev. Dr. Stephen Gantt officiating. Interment will follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Friday evening at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. Memorials may be made to Sandy Level Baptist Church.
