Louis James "Jimmy" Vanmansart, 79, of Columbia, SC, passed away on June 15, 2023. Born on August 9, 1943, he was the son of Louis J. Vanmansart, Sr. and Irene Haile Vanmansart.

Jimmy will always be remembered for the love he had for his family. You could always find him watching drag racing or spending time outdoors while hunting deer and turkey.

Jimmy is survived by his children, Melissa Broadway of Charlotte, NC, and Michael Todd Vanmansart (Julie) of Camden; grandchildren, Britt Broadway (Tyler Kennedy), Kevin Vanmansart (Pam Roberson), Bailey Vanmansart (Faye Hicks), Blake Vanmansart (Sylvia); and great grandson, Hudson Vanmansart. In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Vanmansart.

A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
