Ethel Louise Miles Eden, 73, of West Columbia, died Sunday, June 9, 2013. Born in Blaney, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Hattie Mason Miles. Louise worked with Tanglewood Nursing Home for many years, and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Pelion.

Survivors include her sons, Charles Edenfield of West Columbia and Lester (Karen) Edenfield of Conway; step-sons, Jeff (Anna) Eden of Jacksonville, FL and Edward (Carol) Eden of Easley, SC; nine step-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Truell of Hudson, FL; brother, Charles W. (Patsy) Miles, Jr. of Langley, SC; her aunt, Edith Caughman of Columbia; and a number of cousins. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Eden; and her sister, Peggy M. Miles.

A memorial service for Mrs. Eden will be held noon, Saturday, June 15th, at New Hope Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service until 2 o'clock. Memorials may be made to the church at 249 New Hope Church Rd, Pelion, SC 29123.
