Mrs. Louise J. Taylor, 89, of Columbia, died Friday, May 16, 2014. Born June 7, 1924, in Fairfield County, SC, she was a daughter of the late William H. Jackson and Allie Walker Jackson, and was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Donald O. Taylor; and brothers, James (Knocky) Jackson and Tillman (Tilly) Jackson.

A member of the Lutheran Church of the Ascension, Mrs. Taylor was a retiree of Sears & Roebuck Company, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her two sons, Cary Taylor (Susan) and Don Taylor (Pat); granddaughters, Julie George (Len), Cara Yarbrough; step-grandaughters, Stacey Tarbuck and Wendy Huffmaster; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; and special friends, The Kerr Family: Nancy, Joseph, Debbie, Ike, the late Tommy Kerr; and special caregivers, Meliss Grissom and Larraine Hopkins.

The funeral service for Mrs. Taylor will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at 2 o'clock, at the Lutheran Church of the Ascension, 827 Wildwood Avenue, Columbia, with The Rev. Jackie Utley officiating. The family will receive friends in the church's fellowship hall prior to the service, beginning at 1 o'clock. A family burial will follow at 3:30 o'clock at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 836 Pine Grove Rd., Lugoff, SC.
