LTC Paula Simonne Lacombe, US Army, age 52, of Blythewood, died Saturday, January 20, 2018. Born in Providence, RI on September 8, 1965, she was the daughter of Ernest Albert and Simonne Lamontagne Lacombe. Paula was a graduate of the Army's Interservice Physician Assistant Program, followed by a Master's degree from the University of Nebraska. She proudly served her country for 34 years. Her zest for life was palpable to all, and will be ever apparent in the memories we hold.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her wife, Brandy Mikkalina Sadler Lacombe; her son, Kyle Benjamin Kwasniewski; step-daughters, Hanna and Madisen Larimore; and adopted son, Blake Schumpert.

The service for LTC Lacombe with full military honors will be held at 2 o'clock, Saturday, February 3rd at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia with The Rev. Timothy Bupp officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.
