Lucille May Weeks, 99, of Columbia, died Saturday, November 28, 2015. Born to the late Oscar and Reva Oswald Eargle, she was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. Lucille lived a long life having many joys and overcoming numerous adversities. She gave several generations of her family insight and wisdom from her many years of living.

She is survived by her husband, Don Weeks; sisters, Helen Eargle Richardson, Doris Eargle Oldham; brother, George Patrick Eargle; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Turnipseed; brothers, Oscar Lawrence Eargle, Jr., Keith Oswald Eargle, and Robert Frank Eargle.

A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church on Broad River Road. The family will receive friends in the church parlor at 1 o'clock. Burial will follow at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church Cemetery on St. Andrews Road. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
