Lydia May Gilliland

Lydia May (Tootie) Gilliland, 80, of Roaring Run Road, Boswell, PA, died September 8, 2026. Born October 1, 1945, in Johnstown, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Alt) Young.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Sr.; 5 brothers and 3 sisters and dear friend, Barbara Blough. Mrs. Gilliland is survived by sons, John O. Jr. married to former Tracey DuLuca, Thomas Mills; and Michael L., married to former Kathleen Stepp, Columbia SC; grandchildren, Michael E., Johnstown, Christopher S. married to former Patricia Harren, Columbia SC, Sarah A., Columbus OH; great-grandchild, Flynn O. son of Christopher and Patricia; sister, Sandra McEntire and many nieces and nephews.

She worked many years at Blough Butcher Shop and loved traveling with her family and friends. Most recently, she attended church at North East United Methodist in Columbia SC.

Viewing will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on September 11th at George Mason Funeral Home in Davidsville, PA, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am September 12th. Internment will follow in Stahl Mennonite Cemetery. Shives Funeral Home and George Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville, PA, are assisting the family.
