Maggie Delores Richburg Baker, 88 of Columbia, died Friday, June 17, 2016. Born in Foreston, SC on September 23, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Henry Lee and Bessie Leola Hodge Richburg. She was married to the late Robert Baker and a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, Joseph Franklin Baker (Carol) of West Columbia, Cindy Catoe (Buddy) of Camden, and Glenn Baker (Rhonda) of Columbia; grandchildren, Christy Gifford, Marianne Wolff, Scott Catoe, Leeanna Baker, Vicki Sasiela, Michael Craft, Cloe Ward, and Joseph Ward; and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by daughter, Abby Ward; and sisters, Mary Feagin and Hallie Richburg, and brother, Junior Richburg.

The service for Mrs. Baker will be held 5 o'clock, Saturday, July 2nd at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia with The Rev. Rhett Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be 5 o'clock, on Sunday, July 3rd at Wells Cemetery, Sumter, SC.
