Malone Jackson, 83, of Lexington, died May 17, 2020. Born May 11, 1937, in Camden, SC, he was a son of the late Leslie Leroy Jackson and Lila Mae Richardson Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Everette Leroy Jackson.

Surviving family are two sisters Margie Jackson Cox and Geneva Jackson Baldwin, other dear family members are Trudy Russell (Richard Russell), William Lee, Carolyn Smith (Tim Smith), Johnny Jackson, Kenny Jackson (Tonya Jackson), Kayla Powell (Rodney Powell), Aiden Powell,Harley Thompson, Starla Smith, and Talyn Smith.

Malone (Lone) was always willing to put a big smile on your face with his shining light. He could make you laugh like you wouldn't believe. He loved to play with any kinds of toys, race cars, guitars, singing stuffed animals you name it. He loved his music just as much, his favorites were definitely Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette. He also considered himself a undercover cowboy cause if you ever saw him without his cowboy hats he must have been sleeping. He will be greatly missed by us all but we know where he's at he is happy and with his mom and dad who he loved so dearly. He talked about seeing his mama all the time and now he's strolling through Heaven with her waiting for the rest of his loved ones to join them. We will miss his smiling face more than you will ever know but it's ok because this isn't goodbye it's just see you later.

A funeral service for Mr. Jackson will be held 3 o'clock Saturday, May 23 , 2020 at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Burial will follow at Old Fox Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Lugoff, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock at the funeral home.
