Margaret Regina Canty, 75, of Columbia, died on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Born in Newberry, SC, on August 3, 1948, she was a daughter of George Crosson and Mamie Henderson Crosson.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Daniel (Dan) Canty; two daughters; aunt; and two brothers.

The funeral service for Mrs. Canty will be held at 12 o'clock, Thursday, September 7th, at St. John Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Wednesday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
