Margaret C. Priester Johnson, 69, of Columbia, died Thursday, May 9, 2019. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Claudia Hipps Priester. Margaret was a preschool teacher in the public school system and a member of Shandon United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Stewart Johnson (Kelli) of Tallinn, Estonia; grandchildren, Clara and Ellis Johnson; sister, Susan P. Spangler (John) of Chesterfield, Missouri; niece, Claudia S. Carrico, and nephew, Nathan A. Spangler.

A memorial service for Mrs. Johnson will be held 10 o'clock, Saturday, June 1st,in the chapel at Shandon United Methodist Church, 3407 Devine Street, Columbia, with the Rev. Smoke Kanipe officiating.
