Margaret Ola Mae Johnston, 78, of Columbia, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Born August 25, 1938 in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. Roberson and Nettie Belle Cumbee Roberson. She was a woman of great strength and was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Timothy Johnston (Becky), Gina Laderman (Glenn), Guy Johnston (Wendy), Rocky Johnston, and Michael Johnston; grandchildren, Summer, Matt, A.J., Louis, Michael, Jennifer, Raymond and Samantha Johnston, Madison Reid, Nicholas Barrington and Donnie Tindal; numerous great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, James and Donnie Roberson; sister, Carolyn Taylor;niece, Tonya Blizzard and Donna Stillinger; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

The graveside service for Mrs. Johnston will be held 11:00 o'clock, Saturday, February 18th, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery, 736 Camp Ground Road, Columbia. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is assisting the family.
