Margaret "Maw-Maw" Roach Brazell, 80, of Columbia, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Hampton Roach, Sr. and Ruby Lee Roach. A woman of strong Christian faith she was known as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, Dearil Brazell and Derrick Brazell; daughters, Wanda Weldon, Vonda Romanyszyn, Ronda Price, and Donda Collins; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Pauline Eulitt, Herman Ray Roach, Grady Wallace Roach, Georgia Annetta Weatherwax and Mitchel Louis Roach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Brazell; daughter, Sonda Brazell; brother, William "Bill" Hampton Roach, Jr., and sisters, Rebecca Ann "Becky" Harvey and Rachel Naomi Roach.

A funeral service will be held 3 o'clock, Saturday, August 29th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext. Columbia, with The Rev. Richard Lyttleton officiating. Interment will follow in Old Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock.
