Margaret A. Shelley, 77, of Columbia, died Thursday, November 23, 2017. Born on November 19, 1940, in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Dennis F. Norton, Sr. and Anne Vollmer Norton. Mrs. Shelley was a registered nurse who spent her life caring for other people. She loved to shop and do for others. Mrs. Shelley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Shirley Kennedy (Billy), Susan Mattox (Perry), and Isaac "Randy" Shelley, Jr. (Sharon); grandchildren, Shelley Laughter, Katie Mattox, Nina Shelley, and Tristan Shelley; and great-grandson, Preston Laughter. Mrs. Shelley is also survived by her brother, Dennis F. Norton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Isaac R. Shelley, Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 o'clock, Monday, November 27th at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Road, Columbia with Fr. C. Alexander McDonald officiating. The visitation and viewing will precede the service beginning at 1 o'clock at the church. Burial will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, 11020 Two Notch Road, Elgin. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
