Mrs. Margie Buchanan Branham, 89, of Columbia, died Tuesday November 17, 2015. Born in Spartanburg on November 2, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Ruth LeMaster Buchanan. A graduate of Blythewood High School, Margie worked for many years in the garden center of Sears Roebuck. She later was a member of the accounting office staff at the University of South Carolina until her retirement. Margie was a charter member and faithfully attended Bayview Baptist Church for over 65 years until limited by her health.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Stanley (Johnny); sons, Michael and Ken Branham (Lana); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and dear friend, Paul Scarbary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Clyde "Snuffy" Branham.

A graveside service for Mrs. Branham will be held at 2 o'clock, Thursday, November 19th, at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia, with Pastor Roger Maxwell officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is assisting the family.
