Margie Lois Kirby, 75, of Blythewood, died Tuesday, November 2, 2016. Born January 20, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Johnnie Marion Trapp and Emily Mae Hood Trapp. Margie was a member of Grace Community Church.

Mrs. Kirby is survived by her two children, Virginia Ann Miles, and Herman Willie Kirby, Jr. (Amy); grandchildren, Victoria Waleke (Mike), Jacob Belote, Peyton Willie Kirby, Ava Kirby, and Ally Giammona; brothers, Robert Trapp, Tally Eugene Trapp (Nilda); sisters, Betty Morris, Rosa Trakas (David); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Willie Kirby; and brothers, Glenn and James Trapp.

A funeral service will be held 12 o'clock, Saturday, November 5th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, with Bishop. H. Steven Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens of Columbia.

The family suggests memorials be made to Grace Community Church, 308 Rabon Road, Columbia, SC 29223. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
