Obituary

Margie Lott Mundy, 83, of Blythewood, died Monday, December 14, 2015. Born January 29, 1932 in Aiken County, she was a daughter of the late Malon Lawson and Elma Redd Lott. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and was a charter member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church of Blythewood. Margie lived her faith by teaching the Young Adult Sunday School Class, singing in the choir, and by serving on several church committees, as well as being the Director of the State Women's Missionary Union.

Margie is survived by daughters, Lisa Hightower Vance (Dan) and Eme Earles; grandchildren, Alice Wofford (Chris), Jesse Hightower (Katie), Elizabeth, Marsha and Matthew Earles; great-grandchildren, Harrison, Olivia and Laura Wofford, and Julia, Jackson and Charlotte Hightower; and brother, Olin Eugene Lott (Nancy). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Irvin Mundy; grandson, Charlie Hightower; two sisters, and two brothers.

The service for Mrs. Mundy will be held 2 o'clock, Thursday, December 17th, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Blythewood, with Dr. James W. Thompson, III officiating. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, beginning at 1 o'clock. Memorials may be made to the Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Lottie Moon Offering for International Missions, 1920 Cedar Creek Rd., Blythewood, SC 29016; the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Building Fund; or to the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st St., Ste. 800, Miami, FL 33131.
