Maria Luisa Fernandez Segura, 50, of Columbia, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Born to Marcial Donato Fernandez and Ana Maria Nehls in Veracruz, Mexico, she was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Woodfield Branch. She loved her grandchildren and her dog, Pinto.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Jose Gomez; daughters, Mayra and Ana Gomez; and three grandchildren.

A service will be held 11 o'clock, Tuesday, December 12th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Woodfield Branch, 2350 White Pine Road, Columbia. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Serenity Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, December 11th, from 5 to 7 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
