Marian P. Jordan, 76, of Inverness, FL went home to the Lord on Dec 11, 2014 at Citrus Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Jordan was born on April 14, 1938 in Cayce, South Carolina to the late Charlton and Bertha Spires Price and was a 1956 Brooklyn Cayce graduate. She married and moved to Florida with her husband shortly thereafter.
Marian was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always taking care of the household in order for her family to pursue their interests and careers. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, entertaining, and fishing, always catching the largest fish in her group. Marian was the recipient of a kidney transplant in 2004 and was blessed with many additional years.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Marvin "Ken" Jordan, of Inverness, FL; two daughters, Pamela Reneau Line and husband Mark of Spartanburg, SC, Janet Michelle Rashley and husband Jim of Inverness, FL; two sisters, Muriel Price Floyd, Louise Price Smith and husband Jim of Gilbert, SC; four grandchildren, Alyse Worley and husband Mitch; Samuel Line, Benjamin Rashley and Lauryn Rashley; sisters-in-law, Betty Davis and husband Larry of Camden, SC, Joyce Jordan of Lexington, SC; along with many nieces and nephews and other extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Bobby Floyd, and Larry Jordan.
A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Wednesday, December 17th at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Dr., Columbia, with The Reverend Keith Coates officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock. Interment will follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens.
