Marie Locker Hill-Chapiesky, 79, of Blythewood, died Thursday, December 25, 2014. Born July 6, 1935, in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Robert Milton Locker and Katherine Heiliger Locker. Marie ran the food services for Columbia College for many years and as an honorary alumna was very active in the Alumnae Club at Columbia College and the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, where she served as Grand Secretary-Treasurer. She was a member of the Lions Club and Trinity United Methodist Church, serving in various roles throughout her life. She loved dancing and playing bridge.

Survivors include her husband, John Chapiesky; her daughter, Valerie Hill Aiello; grandson, Marshall Dinkins (Lindsay); her granddaughter, Audrey McCune (Anthony); great grandchildren, Cole and Cooper Dinkins and Carter McCune; as well as her sister, Doris Christianson of Alberta, Canada. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her first husband, Cliff Hill; brothers, Robert Locker, and Don Locker and sisters, Kay Einarson and Jean Gauthier.

The funeral service for Mrs. Hill-Chapiesky will be held 11 o'clock, Monday, December 29th, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 90 Boney Rd, Blythewood, with The Rev. C. Nels Ledwell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia.
