Marshall "Keith" Poston, 55, of Columbia, died Thursday, June 4, 2020. Born in Horry County, SC on August 26, 1964, he was the youngest child of the late James Leonard and Lillie Gill Poston.

Keith graduated from Richland Northeast High School in 1982 with a drive for an automotive repair/service occupation. Keith started out as a helping hand and cleaning car windows at the Exxon and then built his own business, K & A Automotive, Inc., from the ground up. Keith was an outstanding businessman and loved helping others, including taking some of his elder customers on road trips. Keith was a pure soul who would hand the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Keith was an amazing chef with his signature spaghetti and chicken noodle soup, and a solid meat lover with his onion sausage and prime rib. Keith loved his family, the beach, and spending time fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Bates Poston; daughter, Christina Harrelson (Jeremy); son, Marshall "Taylor" Poston; two grandsons, Channing Rylan Duke and Ryker Leon Harrelson; sister, Toni Poston Pait (Robert); brothers, Jimmy Poston and Jeffrey Allen Poston; along with many nieces and nephews. Keith was predeceased by sisters, Susan Poston Frankenbeger and Stevi Poston Sisco.

A time to celebrate Keith's life will be held from 5 until 7 o'clock, Sunday, June 7th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
