Mr. Martin "Marty" Keith Paschal, 54, of Elgin, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Born January 27, 1968, in Columbia, SC, he was a son of Leo Roland Paschal and the late Marie Elaine Simpson Paschal.

Marty was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish. He was often referred to as a simple country boy who lived life to the fullest. A talented carpenter, Marty was a friend to all who knew him, having earned the title as honorary "uncle" to many of his friends' children.

Survivors include his father; five grandchildren; sister, Cynthia P. Ritchie (Harold) of Ninety-Six, SC; brother, Michael Leo Paschal (Angelika) of Sanford, NC; half-sister, Diane P. Meetze (Larry) of Columbia, SC; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his mother, Marty was preceded in death by his son, Jason Keith Paschal.

A funeral service will be held 1 o'clock, Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel with Pastor Jerry Hacker officiating. Burial will follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 11:30 o'clock. The family invites all those attending to please dress casually in your favorite blue jeans and/or camouflage.
