On Thursday, March 9, 2023, Mary Jo Baldwin, loving wife and mother of three, went to glory at age 84. Mary Jo was a disciple of Jesus Christ for over 65 years and in service to her Lord she taught English to Japanese people while in Okinawa, earned the Life-Time Membership Award as a volunteer at Baptist Hospital for 24 years of service, and most recently served in the Prayer Room at North Trenholm Baptist Church. In her spare time Mary Jo enjoyed reading all types of books, but mostly Christian literature.

Mary Jo was proceeded in death by her husband of over 56 years, Floyd Terry Baldwin and her daughter, Terri Lynn Baldwin who passed away of Lupus. She is survived by her sons, Tim, his wife Suzy, their sons Michael and Miles, and their daughter Mallory (Taylor), and Rob, his wife Ramona, and their daughters Terri and Jesse, (Cora).

Mary Jo was dedicated to her family and traveled with them for the 20 years that Floyd was in the military. Mary Jo was best known for her beauty, her impeccable wardrobe, and her service to others.

The service for Mrs. Baldwin will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 11 a.m., at North Trenholm Baptist Church, 6515 N. Trenholm Rd, Columbia, SC 29206. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family
