Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Frye, 88, of Elgin, died on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Born March 7, 1933, in Blythewood, SC, she was a daughter of the late Calvin T. Branham and Corrie Peake Branham.

A member of Congaree Baptist Church, Ms. Betty was strong in her faith. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and loved playing the piano. Ms. Betty was known for her baking skills, especially her cakes, often baking specialty cakes for friends and her church family.

Survivors include her daughter, Libby Williams (Jim); sons, Rick Frye (Lorraine), Ron Frye (Karen), and John Frye; grandchildren Ronny Frye (Jenny), Ian Frye (Haleigh), Ethan Frye (Terra), Hanna Frye, Christian Jobe (Jobie), Trey Williams (Allison); along with four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry DeLeon Frye; and six siblings.

A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Monday, June 21, 2021, at Congaree Baptist Church, 101 Pine Ridge Dr., West Columbia, SC, 29172 with Pastor David Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the church prior to the service, beginning at 1 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
