Mary "Frances" Blakely of Blythewood, SC passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2024 in her home surrounded by loved ones.

Born on June 5th, 1946, Frances lived a life known for serving others. She spent most of her career in the restaurant industry and prior to retiring, served residents at the Lowman Home. Frances loved her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Frances was an avid cook and loved to prepare meals for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Edith L. Black and Dr. Angus and Johnnie Lea Hinson; and brother, Angus R. Hinson. Survivors include her children, Denise (Gordon) Slaton and Renae Blakely; sisters, Edna Childress, Cherie (Roger) Gilfillan, and Merita (Rick) Bradner; grandchildren, Morgan (Zachary) Bryant, Summers (Tyler) McBride and David (Christine) Slaton; great-grandchildren, Brantley McBride, Finley McBride, Cohen Bryant, Anna Katherine Bryant, and Nathan Bryant; and many nieces and nephews all of which she adored. She is fondly remembered her for her delicious meals, generous heart and her love for family.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you
to Dr. Erik Crook and his staff, Heart of Hospice, Dr. Erik Hartvigsen, Linda Shealy N.P., Ms. Debbie, Brandi, her sister, Edna and great-nephew, Mitchell. Their thorough care and support brought tremendous comfort to both Frances and her family during this difficult time.

A private family gathering to celebrate Frances' life will be held at a later date.
